I'd like to add my vote to this issue. I'm used to light color text on dark background modes and never had problems printing it properly (even with syntax highlight) from programs like Delphi, Multi-Edit, and some other editors. I think the simplest solution is to force black text when printing with both syntax highlight and color unchecked. For a more complex solution (syntax highlight checked but color unchecked) it might be useful to convert actual text and background colors to grayscale first and then, if background is darker than text, switch them. The latter is understandably harder to implement and hence is not urgent or required in any way. But the former (no color, no syntax) is need for even a simplest of printing.
