If so, the default action for text files from the directory window is to open the file in the system-associated program. Right click and you'll get the standard system context menu. You can send it to PSPad. If it's part of a project, you'll get a PSPad context menu with a "Open as Text" choice. Or, you could change the association to PSPad. However, I like to leave notepad associated with *.txt, *.ini, etc. I like notepad for certain things, if only because it starts up /much/ faster than PSPad and other editors. I agree - It would be nice to override the system default on text-type files when actually opening them *from inside* PSPad.
