This program is driving me nuts. The simplest things fail,or are needlessly convoluted I have backup directory set, but no backups are ever created. Every single feature of this programs seems to to need fiddling to make work. I am sure something is wrong, but it just shouldnt' be that hard to set a backup directory that works. PSpad is very powerful, obviously, but the most elemental features require a lot of effort to work right. I suppose this is why the program was not highly recommended from many popular editor sites. it's a shame, because it's really a great base product. But the details leave a lot to be desired. A program that has it all, isn't much good, if many of the features are hard to find, configure, or use. And please don';t tell me it's beta, or freeware. I have used literally dozens of editors, and helped their authors extensively. I have never seen a product this robust, with so many little things that were broken. Don't get me wrong, I am testy because I am frustrated. This is a very good program. But it's just frustrating to have to wrestle with so many little things that SHOULD be easy, and are not.
