another way is click and drag from the file panel to the main edit area on the right. actually, I just found that way in XP. when I use win2K. I double click to open most of my plain txt files. I forget how to make it work. now in XP, when I double click on some files with certain extension names that by default windows don't know, the prompt window, which is used to select program to open, does not appear at all. I have to right click and select the first choice, i.e. open , then the prompt appears ask to select program. or I can drag and drop to right area to open it. I am using PSpad 4.3.3(2092) -- PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
