OK. Got it. At least part of it. :-) When switching to other language I have to load other Font Script. Default is Script "Western", but when I want to write Polish text I have to switch to "Central European". Then I get the expected characters. Seems Notepad handles this in the background. OTOH: With Courier New I now can write Polish text in PSPad. My default font (Dina) does not have a script "Central European" but in Notepad it is possible to use this font for Polish text. :-O Can anybody give me a hint how to add "Central European" script to an existing font (XP Pro English version)? I tried the Registry editor on Fontsubstitutes key but to no avail. Well this might get slightly off topic regarding PSPad. Heiner -- PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
