Ok, I set this setting in the program options to set the Read-only file attributes also. This made no difference. This is what i did; I have an existing text file set to read only. I open this file in pspad and it shows the read only status in the file name tab I right click on the tab and click on Read only This clears the read-only marker on the tab I make some changes to the file and try to save it pspad askes me if I want to write the changes to the read only file, I click on yes pspad pops up a box saying file save error Setting or resetting read-only in pspad makes no difference to the read-only attribute in explorer. Am I missing something, or is this a bug? Ideally, the menu should read the oposite to what the file read-only attribute is set to, ie if the file is write enabled, then the context menu should say "Set Read only", if the file is already read-only when loaded in pspad, then it should read "Turn off read-only" Currently it reads "Read only" for both situations. -- PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
