Here is what I have: (viz http://olivier.potonniee.free.fr//pspad/font_problem.gif ) You can see that I do not have the choice of the charset: I only have "Occidental" (ie western). The issue occurs with ASCII fonts, which only have 255 characters. You use characters that are not present in these fonts. What you could do is use characters that are present in both ASCII and Unicode, such as '>>' (ascii 187 or 0xBB) for tab, and dot (ascii 183 or 0xB7 ) for space. In the screenshot, the lower part of the text shows these chars so you can see how it is rendered. I manually typed them using alt-00183 and alt-00187.
