Yes, but that is not enough efficient. Indeed, if cursor's located on the ending </table> it'snot possible to retrieve the beginnong <table>; Your solution works only forward, but not backward. And the other problem is that , because the block is selected, you lose highlighting. But your answer is a good intermediate solution however.
