Hi,
I'm a HomeSite user because of its lightweight operation and flexibility.
I'm begining to like PSPad for the same reasons I like Homesite.
A few things I wanted to share.
~The Create new XHTML file opens a 4.01 DTD instead
For example: Form the toolbar, New>XHTML the results are
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN">
I understand I can edit this, but thought it should be a transitional
xhtml DTD "out of the box." <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML
1.0 Transitional//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd";>
~Using the TopStyle link, TopStyle light opened instead of my TopStyle Pro
which is the systems default CSS editor.
I haven't found how to correct that yet in the config files.
~Something essential for me in web dev editors customizable and flexible
tool bars.
I like to be able to arrange where the toolbar shortcuts are based on my
useage.
And removing those that are not needed to reduce toolbar clutter.
Also, Adding and editing toolbar shorcuts and or a custom toolbar option
is great for any often used tag, code snippet (clip), etc.
I do like the behavior of the clips and code completion, although it is a
different way of doing and seeing things. I hope to customize that based
on how I like to edit.
Thanks to PSPad for making a solid, intuitive multi-file editor that
isn't bloated or filled with unecessary functionality.
