This is a GREAT suggestion that deserves more explanation for those who do not know what TAIL is. The Unix-style command 'tail' is used to show the last 5 lines of a text file. 'tail -n 200' shows the last 200 lines. This is great for viewing large log files, without having to open the whole file. The '-f' switch stands for 'follow'. Using this on an active logfile, will show every change that is made to the end of the log file. PSPad has this functionality partially already: When the original file changes, it prompts for a reload. If, instead of reloading the whole file, one could 'follow the tail' of the file (adding the changed lines in the original to the bottom of the open file in PSPad), it would be great functionality. For a Windows GUI version (freeware with nag-screen), see: http://www.baremetalsoft.com/baretail/. This one has a chek box to 'follow' or not. Would LOVE to see this functionality in my favorite editor! Cas -- PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
