there must be some way to make this program open as text files those ending in other than .TXT. for example, it opens .DOC files in hex mode. i just want to read them as text files. i can't find a setting to tell it that .DOC files should be opened as text files. nor can i find a way to read .DOC files as text files once they're opened (automatically) in hex mode! this program has a great reputation. am i missing something very simple? thanks for any help on this. dan richman seattle -- PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
