I am happy to share with u an activity done recently in my school. It was
very successful activity. Details of the activity are in the file/link
attached with this. Please do watch. I got confidence that our government
school students can also speak good English(some errors will definately
come in the first stage but it's negligible as English medium students too
do that) if trained for that and given opportunity.
First of all I was surprised with the scripts they brought (in mother
tongue but 100% their effort) translation is also done 50-60% by them.
The creative idea of one of the conversations of tourist and guide( Belur)
was totally her own creation. It was even more lengthy than in video but I
cut it thinking it will be difficult for them to learn that much. The idea
beyond her dailogues really deserves appreciation.
Last year too I had done this activity but many were unable to complete
their conversation but this time all teams completed successfully.
The one done by 8th students is really appreciable. post master and
customer.(all videos available in the link provided and my You tube channel
too.
I would also thank all my team (teachers) for backing me in this
activity All teachers watched, supported and enjoyed the activity. So it is
proved again that rural students can also go to any height if given proper
guidance, support and opportunity.
