Feedback from people who have tried the new Enigma 1.30 release on macOS has let us know that

1. Even though we do not have a native build for the M1 Macs, one of our users reports successfully running the 1.30 release app bundle on their M1 Macbook Air

2. If you download Enigma-1.30.dmg from the Github website and install it, then trying to run it by double-clicking the app will give you this error:

"Enigma cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified. MacOS cannot verify that this app is free from malware."

The first time you run Enigma, you need to right-click open it and click Open in the dialog you get. After that, the usual double-click to launch works fine.

If you have Homebrew installed, and install the app bundle with the command

  brew install --cask --no-quarantine enigma-game/game/game

Then Homebrew will download the same Enigma-1.30.dmg file from Github but will place it in /Applications as if that first time right-click open had been done. That's what that "--no-quarantine" means.

 Sidney
