good job

if you follow computer fraud and abuse much you'll learn that most fraud
and abuse follows one of several principle patterns. one of these is
"phishing" and some reports attribute 2/3 of fraud to this method

PGP mail properly authenticates messages -- which ordinary e/mail does
not. I can send you an e/mail and claim it's from R.M.Nixon

think about this is a broader sense: our Personally Identifyable
Information ("PII") is distributed everywhere -- much of this results
from the commercial system marketing activity . as a result another
major class of fraud is simple forgery -- of credit cards, tax returns,
electronic checks -- etc

note that these transactions could not be forged if (1) proper digital
signatures were used, and (2) secure operating software were used.

I see a trend toward (2) but little progress on (1)
