what you see is that your messages get "INLINE PGP signed", indicated by a
human-readable header "-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----" and some lines after
your message. You may avoid this by switching to "PGP MIME". That way, the
signature is created as MIME attachment. Some users may ask you how to open
the weird attachement you sent, though ...

PGP/MIME advantages and disadvantages a bit. Note that this is a per account
setting, so if you use multiple accounts, ensure you set it in all of them.
