This is for "later in a future release". At the time we fix a bug we
don't know whether the next release will have a 1.x.y+1 or a 1.x+1
version number.

This depends entirely on the impact of the bugs fixed, e.g. a fixed
security bug or something that causes a crash or data loss strongly
indicate a very early next release.

Example is the 1.5 cycle with two subreleases following (quite early
1.5.1 and after some months 1.5.2).

Simple annoyances will most probably go only into the next major
release. That was true for the 1.6 cycle, there never was a 1.6.1.

For the current release 1.7, we will quite likely have a 1.7.1 following.
