Hi,

Enigmail 1.7 added a feature to work around buggy Exchange servers.
However, it is being a bit too helpful and prevents the correct parsing
of posts to (some) mailman mailing lists.

1. here is an excerpt from a mail I *sent* to a mailman list:

=============================
Content-Type: multipart/encrypted;
 protocol="application/pgp-encrypted";
 boundary="tRtRa3HAVRmePmfoMdd4Dat1QiAjXd9P7"

This is an OpenPGP/MIME encrypted message (RFC 4880 and 3156)
--tRtRa3HAVRmePmfoMdd4Dat1QiAjXd9P7
Content-Type: application/pgp-encrypted
Content-Description: PGP/MIME version identification

Version: 1

--tRtRa3HAVRmePmfoMdd4Dat1QiAjXd9P7
Content-Type: application/octet-stream; name="encrypted.asc"
Content-Description: OpenPGP encrypted message
Content-Disposition: inline; filename="encrypted.asc"

-----BEGIN PGP MESSAGE-----
Version: GnuPG v1

=============================

2. here is an excerpt from a mail I *received* on a mailman list:

=============================
Content-Type: multipart/mixed;
boundary="===============7405547212713143587=="
Sender: [email protected]
Errors-To: [email protected]
Received-SPF: none
X-SPF-Guess: pass

This is an OpenPGP/MIME encrypted message (RFC 4880 and 3156)
--===============7405547212713143587==
Content-Type: multipart/encrypted; protocol="application/pgp-encrypted";
        boundary="tRtRa3HAVRmePmfoMdd4Dat1QiAjXd9P7"

This is an OpenPGP/MIME encrypted message (RFC 4880 and 3156)
--tRtRa3HAVRmePmfoMdd4Dat1QiAjXd9P7
Content-Type: application/pgp-encrypted
Content-Description: PGP/MIME version identification

Version: 1

--tRtRa3HAVRmePmfoMdd4Dat1QiAjXd9P7
Content-Type: application/octet-stream; name="encrypted.asc"
Content-Description: OpenPGP encrypted message
Content-Disposition: inline; filename="encrypted.asc"

-----BEGIN PGP MESSAGE-----
Version: GnuPG v1

9sgt3VNCaMEhfCEg4m4n6PS1Yu8VugtHBN3KzZ6M16BzeWLmH7x/HYOesp2UkOtV
=============================

Note that it was packaged up in multipart/mixed and that "This is an
OpenPGP/MIME encrypted message (RFC 4880 and 3156)" appears twice.

3. Previous versions of Enigmail had no problem parsing these messages.
However, now I get:

> Decrypted message (restored broken PGP email format probably caused
> by an old Exchange server, so that the result might not be perfect to
> read)

Is there any way to disable this heuristic?

Cheers,
Martin
