Yes, if you have 1.8a1pre installed, the regular 1.8 release will be offered for update once available on the Mozilla add on page. This will be some days or even weeks after it is available on the Enigmail website because Mozilla reviews the code changes before publishing it. For those using Thunderbird or Seamonkey derivative from a Linux distribution, different rules apply.
