On the enimail toolbar, using 1.8a1pre with Thunderbird 31.4.0 on linux, I would
agree that the very left hand button which says :
"Enigmail:"
looks just like a label for the whole toolbar row of icons rather than a
clickable button. Until this thread appeared, I had not realised that it was a
button.
But it does work and opens a small dialog box 'Enigmail encryption and signing
settings' with radio buttons for inline and pgp/mime and tick boxes for encrypt,
sign.
Oddly enough, the extreme right button on this toolbar ('This message will be
signed' or a similar message on the status of the mail currently being written),
when clicked opens exactly the same dialog box.
I'm pretty happy with this toolbar but I do agree that the protocol entry under
the Enigmail entry on the menu bar, is confusing.
