I have a query on Section 8.3.3 page 100 : It is written that cards may be reset by using the 'resetfile', an ASCII text file whose contents are listed on page 100.
In the gnupg-users mail list, there was some discussion about resetting cards in a thread called "card is permanently locked" which started on November 17/2014.
