Yes, this would be possible. Still, this would only be a better recognition of failure. Much better would be to avoid this failure by an automatic check for ultimate owner trust set on own keys. We've got several support cases where the root cause was missing trust in own keys in the last weeks and months. Therefore, I filed a bug: https://sourceforge.net/p/enigmail/bugs/489/ Ludwig
