> encrypting the headers will not stop traffic analysis This is technically true, but irrelevant.
My aunt was diagnosed with terminal, inoperable cancer. Thanks to the efforts of modern medicine she lived for thirty years and outlived two of her doctors before finally succumbing. Should we have said, "well, your cancer is terminal, so there's no point in treating it"? Of course not. We were going to do what good we could, even if it wasn't perfect. We can't stop traffic analysis. We can, however, make it harder, and we can deny more metadata to the attacker. This is worth doing. > and can be confusing to some of us. Should a useful tool be denied to everyone because it confuses some? Of course not. If it confuses you, don't use it. If it's confusing to some people, that's a reason for this to be disabled by default -- but that's not a reason to omit the feature. _______________________________________________ enigmail-users mailing list [email protected] To unsubscribe or make changes to your subscription click here: https://admin.hostpoint.ch/mailman/listinfo/enigmail-users_enigmail.net
