I don't understand what you're saying here.
1. Thunderbird isn't making a switch to OpenPGP. Did you mean a switch
to OpenPGP.js?
2. Thunderbird isn't making a switch to OpenPGP.js, either.
3. Enigmail hasn't made a switch to OpenPGP.js. It's being considered,
but no decision has been made.
4. Mozilla demanding that plugins be pure Javascript is probably a good
thing.
5. Enigmail is pure Javascript. All crypto is done by GnuPG, which is
a separate program. Mozilla has no problem with this.
