I also like long random passphrases and I found the app keepass useful
in storing my gnupg passphrase.  This app has what they call auto type
which will paste your passphrase into the pinentry.  One thing I
noticed upon setting up your gpg passphrase is that you need remove
the everything in the Auto-Type tab except {PASSWORD}

All of my other passphrases/passwords are kept in a symetric encrypted
file called .passwd.gpg.  I even have the keepass master passphrase in
this file so I do not have to remember it.
