The "DEL" key should work on all platforms. If not, try to repair the
folder: Right click on the folder, select "properties", select "Gerneral
information" tab, click on "Repair Folder".

You can set the preference for selecting HTML mail versus plaintext
separately for each account: Tools -> Account Settings -> (Select your
account), then Composition & Addressing, check or uncheck "Compose
messages in HTML format".

However, be careful not to send signed only messages in inline PGP
format, as these tend to give "bad" signatures. Better uses PGP/MIME format.
