I don't agree to your statement. If you create a key in Enigmail, it is valid for 5 years by default. I consider it good practice to replace a key after this period. If you are an advanced user, you can also create new subkeys, but that's not the target audience I have in mind with this warning. And I am strongly against completely deleting the expiry date from a key. This is the opposite of what I would want to propose to the users. > Meanwhile, there is a problem with the routine itself ... they key > in question has already expired. The check is ignorant to keys that have already expired but are still configured. The message is only shown if upon upgrading to v1.9 such a configuration exists. I decided that I leave the message in its pretty simple form because the code would get significantly more complex if I'd have to solve this properly for a pretty small benefit. - -Patrick -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2 iQIcBAEBCAAGBQJWnm98AAoJENsRh7ndX2k7wY0QAIeeER8b6zkwAyyoh8nXTvB0 oUrvHdVdplVTc0A2b4wKix2miugmBP6MSG0Q1uOBdb7vXvJxu5/0lNMjJI42anSY dB6/MSr9ybc/yZSv8JTxnJv+QywXLHbJBNBNp3Qwtx9xC6samNAT/Lohu6+xaJFa xZvAhr99X6eDaRFp23BFo68SB/QR4+K8RihXjvR7DSV1evYeZ0wJ/geQgmTv0wbb jAbtv3l2CFjTx8qW4ZooVbHyRyi4MytVDPvBSPe6hDD4NGkU+GmtiGGauatunIdW aWlo3tdHDL8bZgr6LFZB92gnvO8isTLentY1hYnTqA1NR6neMdjRFmGX7qewChk9 Vqg+PZ3VdU7MIDMnGndxjbDIlEaYt3XydpQJcLoSGi4LhOqxqppBepurAXqhYpoW k/CLeNEkmyEXESZkAX8k6Y/ceHc0VnxmlNoEUdtMG1rnqbyByGZ4vxaJt3jRlRLk Ccbk9ldMRIOLmFqrs2nLAyeI2DEpNbOU7TPkcpmNnGN+S7f7aWJf2ijUrlTTeRPv LIA4nLQ3I3w268qCjDhH94ZzCDm0qSbdM75kHAiLBp5e2YU17yC+GqCcj11ENsP+ NVjqx3FmOAcSK9vad9T4LLYKrYTmRuuohZi3A1/Bqfslotax8Uuowo/ULCGo4JIO 8DFwxtw4nCl4H6dBBMYj =2Bgi -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ enigmail-users mailing list [email protected] To unsubscribe or make changes to your subscription click here: https://admin.hostpoint.ch/mailman/listinfo/enigmail-users_enigmail.net
