Hello, I'm using the Enigmail extension for Mozilla Thunderbird (Icedove) on Debian GNU/Linux, successfully until yesterday. Since then, I cannot encrypt or sign any emails I'm sending - instead I get an error message [1] every time I try to do so, and sending the email fails. (I can send unencrypted emails, but both sending a non-encrypted, signed message or sending an encrypted and signed message fail with the error above.) Note that I can decrypt email sent to me, although there is no notice shown confirming the validity of the signature.
I suspect that this is due to upgrading Enigmail, since when starting Icedove that morning, I also saw a screen telling me that the default encryption method had been changed to PGP/MIME from Inline-PGP - this is in line with the release date for 1.9.0 and its release notes. I have rebooted my computer and also tried reinstalling Enigmail, both did not fix the problem. The FAQs aren't helping me here, I don't see an entry in the support forum for this either. And to me (not knowing the source code), the debugging logs also don't contain any hint what is going wrong - so I'm pretty much out of ideas on what is going wrong here. Any help "fixing Enigmail again" would be appreciated. Let me know if I can help narrowing down the problem, by performing some tests locally. Digging a bit in the source code, this the German-localized text of a |gpgAgentError|, which is thrown in |errorHandling.jsm|, line 116. Now if anybody can tell me why that's happenning and how to fix it... _______________________________________________ enigmail-users mailing list [email protected] To unsubscribe or make changes to your subscription click here: https://admin.hostpoint.ch/mailman/listinfo/enigmail-users_enigmail.net
