If I look at "Schlüsseleigenschaften" - "Struktur" (key properties -
structure) of this key I don't see any (sub)keys at all. I'm a bit
surprised that I can't even see weather the MD5 algorithm was used in
the past.

is created not by enigmail but by gpg? Maybe somebody can tell them to
make the error message even clearer and at least fix the encoding
and add some missing letters ("a" -> "an", "sei" ->"sein"), or is this
cut by enigmail when displayed?)

of all a comment, it states "Open the Enigmail Preferences panel
(OpenPGP->Preferences)" but at least in the German Thunderbird the menu
entry is labeled is "Enigmail" and not "OpenPGP". For me it was clear
but for a beginner it might be a problem.
I'll send you an e-mail with the log soon.
