With Enigmail 1.9 we internally switched to fingerprint or (if not
available) 64-bit key IDs. We did not yet change all GUIs to 64-bit IDs.

But what do you mean with "key ID in the signature"? A message is always
signed with a key. A key is identified by a fingerprint, or
alternatively by key IDs (32 or 64 bit).
