-------- Forwarded Message -------- Subject: [Enigmail] REPLACE the eye-challenging gray text on website Date: Sun, 4 Sep 2016 21:24:36 -0400 From: Jim Wyman <[email protected]> Reply-To: Enigmail user discussion list <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Please STOP using gray text on the white background on your website. Not only is it hard to read, but it initially tells readers that there’s something wrong…as current website visual lingo shows a partially-grayed-out screen to signify an error or suspended operation. BLACK text or very very dark text over a white background is the only thing that is clear. Most readers do not give a whit about your web design creativity. Furthermore, not every potential patron or user has the latest Apple retina display. The sole criteria of your value is whether the information that you have gets across the screen and into users’ brains, without hurting or challenging their eyes, and without presenting some visual puzzle. jim wyman
