One of the things I do for gmail encryption is compose a letter in nano or another text editor and save it to somename.txt Then I sign and encrypt is using: gpg -aesr [email protected] somename.txt This gives the default output somename.txt.asc Then I attach somename.txt.asc to the gmail that is going to the recipient. When the recipient opens your email message he can then save the attachment and decrypt it using: gpg -d somename.txt.asc Which will decrypt and verify somename.txt.asc to the screen. I have found using the various encrypting tools that are available for mozilla firefox actually harder to cope with than just using GnuPG to encrypt and decrypt gmail attachments. Using Mozilla Thunderbird along with enigmail is much easier. -- Rev. LeRoy D.
