I think that you have a few issues that are not related to Enigmail but are more general Thunderbird issues. The date error does not make any sense to me. I'm simply using a standard TB function to display the date in your locale.
The error you reported now is similarly strange and cannot be due to Enigmail. I'd suggest you create a new profile in Thunderbird and try a fresh start.
