I'm sorry, but it's not the same at all. TB 52.4 is the current stable version of Thunderbird. TB 56 is a *beta* version of what will one day be released as TB 59. While Enigmail 1.9.8.x is compatible with TB 52.*, it's not with TB 56 and newer. You'll need a nightly version of Enigmail for TB 56 and newer.
