Regularly before pushing commits (at least every few days).

On my current macOS notebook. I also had tested the unit tests on
Windows a while back, but I didn't retry it in the last months.

I would not deliberately push changes if test cases would fail. My most
recent result on master:
All tests suceeded.

No, that's not reasonable before committing.

"make test" on my well-prepared development environment. The steps are
quite the same as yours, but obviously I won't set up a new profile for
every run during development.
