That's great to know, thanks for the info. In the heat of experimentation I didn't bother to look up "autocrypt". Maybe that is a good idea, cuz the uptake on PGP has been rather thin. > If you just want plain and simple PGP you should be able to disable this > behavior using Account Setting -> OpenPGP -> Tab Autocrypt -> Enable > Autocrypt Wow it took me a while to figure out what you meant by the Autocrypt "Tab", because Thunderbird shows those tabs as just plain text. I finally scanned the preference page line-by-line and saw this text: Message Composition Autocrypt Turns out "Message Composition" and "Autocrypt" are separate clickable tabs, not just text. Well I'll be dog. Anyway yes that does work, I can uncheck Enable Autocrypt and sure enough it disables it. But now that you've explained to me what a wonderful and promising feature this is, with the prospect of bringing secure email to the masses, I think I'll leave it enabled. Thanks Florian. -- Patrick Chkoreff _______________________________________________ enigmail-users mailing list [email protected] To unsubscribe or make changes to your subscription click here: https://admin.hostpoint.ch/mailman/listinfo/enigmail-users_enigmail.net
