At the outset, I'd like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Kim Woelders for taking on E16.5 and for working on it. Legacy users couldn't be happier with this newly revived development.
Gentoo Linux has bumped their E version to E16.6_pre4 on the testing tree. Given their popularity and the resultant large user base it means that 16.6_pre4 is getting the widest possible exposure and use for the purposes of feedback and debugging. So I'd also like to thank them for their use of and contribution to E especially vapier.
Now, I shall detail a minor bug with E16.6_pre4. I have 8 virtual desktops (VD) and one multiple desktop. Let's assume that VD1, the current VD, is running Eterm, VD2 is running mozilla browser. I middle click on VD2 to switch to it. A window title tip appears to say 'Bug List - Mozilla' which is the website I was browsing. Immediately, I middle click on VD1 and switch back to it and move my mouse cursor out of the VD area into the main desktop. However, the window tool tip that previously appeared still remains and can only be made to disappear by moving mouse cursor around in VD area.
Note that the applications being run in VDs are not of any significance here. It is the only pre4 bug I have noticed and I thought I would report it. As for some other bugs that used to exist with 16.5 they have vanished with pre4.
