the e17 source itself hasn't been touched. xcb needs to go into 2 places:
1. ecore (ecore_x)
2. evas (software_xcb engine needs to be added)
it hasn't gone in. i've done 1 or 2 experiments with async ecore api's with
callbacks for received data. ecore_x artificially emulates an async reply. the
idea is so xcb can slide in underneath with no changes, and we STILL take
advantage. at this stage i know peolpe have said they'd look into it, but i
haven't heard or seen anything. i personally don't have the time right now to do
this - but xcb definitely is the way to go and i've got it in my design schedule
(thus the async call sin ecore_x now, using xlib).
