Subject: Bug#223674: enlightenment: "Maximize Width/Height of Window to available
space" broken
Date: Thu, 11 Dec 2003 12:40:42 +0100
X-CRM114-Status: Good ( pR: 4.1302 )

Package: enlightenment
Version: 1:0.16.6-1
Severity: normal

The functions
   - "Maximize Width of Window to available space"
   - "Maximize Height of Window to available space"
are broken: when a window is resized with one of these functions
the size is extended to 100% of the width/height. In other words
any other windows on the screen are not taken into consideration
when doing the resize command.

The only exception to this are the enlightenment Epplets: if an
Epplet is "in the way" the window to be resized will not grow
over the borders of this Epplet.

I think that the maximise functions work as intended and that
this bug is probably about unclear terminology. The maximise
options are:
- conservative
Don't cover other windows (not already covered).
- available
Don't cover 'dont-cover' windows (not already covered).
Epplets and dock type apps (e.g. gnome-panel) get by default
   the dont-cover attribute.
- absolute (default)
Span current screen, not crossing xinerama screen boundaries
- xinerama
   Span xinerama screens

/Kim
