It was of course, a problem with lack of sleep and extreme stupidityon
my part. I forgotten that whilst testing I'd done
if (im->loader || immediate_load || progress || 1)
^^^^^
which is a massively stupid and was casuign all sorts of problems. On
the other hand the Kodak Cineon loader [0] is done along with some
fairly nifty 10bit log to 8bit linear conversion stuff :)
