Ok, I hacked a TGA loader of my own, using mmap and brutal pointer access in whote image data. It's 20 times faster than Imlib2 loader. Does this fit any need ? Is Imlib2 required to compile on Cygwin and does mmap is usable in Cygwin context ? If yes I can provide you my code :-).
