direction is the direction the wheel faces. most mice have 1 wheel that goes up
and down (ie direction 0). z indicates how far it spins and in what direction.
some mice have more than 1 wheel - they have 2 or 3 facing different ways. i put
this in there to theoretically support these mice in future - but currently the
support is not there.
