Hi everyone,
I just installed e0.16.7 from rpm packages on FC1, before restarting
it I renamed my .enlightenment directory and had 16.7 create a new
one from scratch (just to make sure it was still compatible).
Then I copied my old backgrounds to the new background folder.
Now when I try to change my desktop via middle mouse click -> Desktop
-> Backgrounds, I don't see a grid of small tumbnails. Clicking on a
blank square does change the background, but it is a guessing game as
to which background I'm choosing.
I'm currently using the default e0.16.7 theme.
Can anyone tell me what I have to do to fix this?
I have seen this on FC2. The problem was probably a corrupt or
incomplete imlib2 installation. I updated imlib2 trying out various FC1
and FC2 rpm packages. The problem went away and I was not able to
reproduce it.
You can use my repository to update your imlib2 packages.
Follow the instructions at
http://sps.nus.edu.sg/~didierbe
and do a
yum check-update
yum install imlib2
or use apt. But yum is already in FC2 by default.
It turned out there was a bug in the background thumbnail caching.
Should be fixed in CVS.
