`screen` has this built in, and eterm has screen built in (if you use the
screen theme), or you can run it manually.
Ctrl-a [ : start copy mode
Enter : select copy start point
Enter : select copy end point
Ctrl-a ] : paste from buffer
screen is primarily a sort of full screen window manager for the console, but
it has loads of other useful features too; I couldn't live without it :)
