(Brarely update the debian packaging info, and also rarely update the rpm .spec
(Bfiles. the debian stuff is particularly maintained by the debian packagers and
(Bso i tend to leave it alone. you might want to always double check the debian
(Bpackage meta data is up to date with the library version that configure uses as
(Bwe dont do a great job of keeping it up to date. :)
