However I have yet another issue (that isn't addressed in the documentation)
_Desktop sliding is somerimes painfully slow. It wasn't the case with 16.7.2.
This doesn't happen all the time I guess only when my computer is under heavy load (I can make tests if you want). This isn't much of a problem though.
Cheers,
Till

Both issues are mentioned in the INSTALL file :)
The menu file format hasn't changed but the file locations have changed from ~/.enlightenment/xyz.menu to ~/.e16/menus/xyz.menu. e16menuedit doen't know about that but e16menuedit2 does.

Thanx a lot...
Composite looks great (although it really freezes my computer... guess I should buy a new video card)
_Where is the menu fot the systray?
_Has the menu file changed (seems like e16menuedit edits the wrong file now...)

In case there still are a few out there using e16 :)
I have been messing around with a number of things, until now in a separate CVS branch. This has now been merged into the trunk.
0.16.8 contains (at least internally) major changes wrt. 0.16.7. I believe it is quite stable, but there may well be some bugs around.
The major new features are:
- Name, configuration path, and install path changes, "enlightenment" ->
"e16" to avoid conficts with older e16 versions and with e17.
- Built-in composite manager.
- Systray.
Additional info can be found in

0.16.7 had a few minor bug fixes after 0.16.7.2 was released. If anybody
wants those, check out by tag "tag-e16_7-final".
