Thanks for this hint.  Currently I am using bsetbg which utilizes
`display -window root'.  This obviously doesn't set the necessary
properties.

I wrote a message in response to Ibukun which doesn't seem to have
reached the list yet.  You can disregard this mail as I obviously
confused bsetroot (which actually works with engage) and bsetbg.

Anyway, when I use Esetroot, the error messages vanish, but engage
still covers other windows with the area it uses for transparency. )c:
