(Bi do know e16 used to have a few mistakes in it. i think kwo has cleared them up
(Bthough (nice work kwo). this is where things get tough - who to blame? i admit
(Be17 is very young and immature - so if i see a bug the first thing i do is
(Bflagilate myself, then look into my code for the obvious problem. if its not
(Bobvious i hunt - dumping request/reply data from e17's side etc. and re-check
(Band re-re-check the code. with the java apps and e17 - this ended up in going so
(Bfar as to try xmon... and reading megabytes of x protocol dumps. (it ended this
(Bway with eclipse too actually)... and i found nothing wrong with e17's code and
(Bhandling. it was doing everything java asked it to do - not missing a single
(Brequest nor getting a single one wrong in its deep pipeline and state machine.
(Bthats when andy kicked in. sure enough - java was at fault. same in the eclipse
(Bcase. so far if i get to the point of using xmon and still am mystified - the
(Bodds are so far 100% that its the app/toolkit to blame :) mind u given what we
(Bknow of how java works internally now - i'm about as likely to trust it in
(Bbeing "right" as i would trust a politician to be honest :)
