OK, I'm currently trying to build this on SunOS 5.10.1_10/SPARC, and I
have to say the build process for both Imlib2 and then e16 was
completely clean this time. The last time I tried (on my very tricked
out own desktop with way too much cruft on it) I had real problems, but
on this SunRay server I'm working on now, it just built.
Unfortunately, it doesn't just *run*. I get a bad-looking init screen
(gray boxes instead of images), and then it hangs. While it's doing
this, it's saying, over and over for each theme file it tries to load:

So OK, some application it's calling is compiled against an older libpng
- but which? convert seems the most obvious option - it is linked to
libpng.so.2, while Imlib2 is dlopening libpng.so.3 via the png
loader... But why would it be falling back on convert now anyway? I
just remembered it used to if it had problems, years ago. If not, what
else?
I just build and installed both Imlib2 and e16 to a local directory
under my home, and ldd shows both finding the right bits. So any idea
why I might get these messages? I'm *so* close to having e16 again, it
hurts =O{
Any help much appreciated.
