ok - comments :)

1. i can't accept this as it uses exml. that will mean more dependencies for
e17. e17's dependencies are frozen. i can't let in anything that brings in more
dependencies.

2. it should really be a tool that executes on its own and fills
~/.e/e/applications/all ~/.e/e/applications/favorites etc. like e17genmenu does.
that is the "on disk cache" of applications. :)
