After seeing lots of constant questions and requests about various
strange ways to do things like window focusing, layering, sizing, etc I
have come up with some thoughts that are probably on the TODO list.
Please slap me if I am re inventing current plans.

We are currently working on a config system with a basic and advanced
levels. The basic level is prepackaged setups, while the advanced
gives you access to each bit of configuration possible. There are also
some hard coded behaviours like "fullscreen means on top layer".

I'm thinking of an easy to use scripting system, themes for window
behaviour if you like. Where we remove the hard coded stuff, and
replace them with standard scripts/themes, then add a "Really advanced
config" where the user can script their own strange preferences. The
basic config level will then become "Choose a behaviour theme". The
advanced config stays the same, it lets you fully tweak the current
theme.

Then deviants like me can script "fullscreen means on bottom layer" and
other vomit inducing fetishes, everybody is happy. Naturally we should
add a window behaviour theme repository to get-e.org.

Commence shooting me down in flames...

...wait for it...

...now!
